Tucville man caught red handed breaking into woman’s house jailed for 36 months

[www.inewsguyana.com] – A 43-year-old Tucville resident was today sentenced to 36 months imprisonment by Magistrate Ann McLennan after he pleaded guilty to a break and enter charge.

Collin Nurse admitted to breaking and entering the house of Latoya Reshad on November 04 at Tucville, Georgetown and stole one 10 pound gas bottle, an iron, a hand saw, a hammer, a lamp, two female purse, cosmetics, one hair dryer, a Motorola cellular phone, a pressing iron, one Lasko fan, and cash together valued $98,000.

Police Prosecutor Dinero Jones told the Court that on the day in question around 09:45 hrs, the Virtual Complainant (VC) secured her home and left to take her daughter to the day care.

Subsequently, Nurse was seen by a neighbor breaking into the house. The police were contacted and Nurse was caught leaving the house with the items.

The unrepresented man begged for leniency, stating that it is his first time he has been charged.
