iNews was told that the brakes of the minibus failed and that the driver tried his best to avoid a collision with another vehicle. In doing so, he slammed into the side of the pick-up, sending it off the road and into a canal adjacent to the President’s home.

It is understood that several persons inside the minibus were taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital. The driver of the pick-up is said to have sustained a serious injury to his upper torso and was also taken to the hospital for treatment [Jomo Paul]

  1. Brake failure is a lame duck excuse. That could be checked to verify if it is so. That mini bus driver was definitely speeding in order to maximise the number of trips he wanted to make before the end of the day. Take his licence away
