[www.inewsguyana.com] – Former wanted man, Manu Durant died on Thursday morning (June 04) after he was shot by another man during a confrontation at the Baroombar Strip Club, located on North Road, Georgetown.

iNews was reliably informed that during the confrontation, Durant was first to shoot at the man, who then returned fire, hitting Durant in the chest. He was rushed to a private hospital in an unconscious state, where he died a few hours later.

It is not clear what led to the confrontation between the two men and according to reports, the suspect left the Bar shortly after the shooting. On February 12, 2008 police issued a wanted bulletin for Durant, in connection with the disappearance of the Tenisha Morgan of Friendship, East Coast Demerara, who was reportedly the girlfriend of the notorious criminal Rondell ‘fineman’ Rawlins.

Durant had turned himself in with his lawyer at the time, Mark Waldron and was set free following investigations by the police. Additionally, in 2009 Durant, of Barr Street Kitty, was standing with friends outside the Wild Berry Night Club between Barr Street and Stanley Place, Kitty, when two men on a motorcycle rode up to him and shot him behind the right ear.
