[www.inewsguyana.com] – Nineteen – year – old Ganesh Seecharran was today charged with the offence of Simple Larency. He pleaded not guilty to the charge and was placed on $80,000 bail by Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry.
He is accused of stealing one pair rear view mirror, a left side motor system and one antenna together valued $81,000, property of Mark Adonis.
Police Prosecutor, Michael Grant told the Court that the virtual complainant is the owner of a Toyota Primo Car which he usually parks outside of his yard due to limited space.
The Court heard that on January 16, the accused stole the items mentioned in the charge, while the complainant’s car was parked on his bridge. He was represented by Attorney – at – Law Melville Duke, who told the Court that his client was at the Wales Police Station at during the commission of the offence.
The matter stands adjourned until February 26.
