[www.inewsguyana.com] – The police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred just before noon on Tuesday (January 14) on the main road at Bloomfield, Corentyne which resulted in the death of pedal cyclist 10 –year – old Saleena Anthony of Bloomfield.
Initial investigations have so far revealed that Anthony was riding a bicycle when it is alleged that she rode from an access road unto the main road and into the path of a mini-bus.
She was struck down and taken to the Port Mourant Hospital where she succumbed while receiving medical treatment.
The driver of the mini-bus is in police custody assisting with investigations.
