[www.inewsguyana.com] – A Mother got the shock of her life when she turned up at her daughter’s daycare on Monday afternoon (January 13) only to find out that she has been kidnapped.
The 4 – month- old girl was reportedly kidnapped by a 19 – year – old female who has been identified as Teacher Candace Adonis of Vigilance, East Coast Demerara.
According to the child’s mother Samantha Price, Adonis went to the day care in Buxton at about 16:00hrs on Monday and claimed she was the child’s aunt.
This was proven to be false after the child’s mother arrived and made inquires. Neither Adonis nor the baby girl has been seen since.
Police investigators have launched a search for the kidnapper.
Price is pleading with anyone who may know the whereabouts of the kidnapper or her daughter to make contact with her or the nearest police station.
The woman said she is shocked beyond explanation and is unaware of any reason why Adonis would commit such an act.
Efforts to contacts relatives of Adonis proved futile. Residents in the area said however that they too were shocked upon learning of the incident.
