17 – Year – old charged for stealing Cell Phone

[www.inewsguyana.com] – A 17 – year-old boy accused of stealing a cellular phone was placed on $50,000 bail by Magistrate Faith McGusty.

Johnathan Dhanrad of Diamond Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara, pleaded not guilty to the charge, particulars of which stated that between March 11 and 21 at Georgetown, he stole a cellular phone valued $65,000, property of Keishars. 

Attorney – at – Law, Paul Fung – A -Fat in a successful bail application acquired surety in a reasonable sum for the defendant.

Police Prosecutor, Seon Blackman did not object to bail but requested a substantial amount with conditions attached.

He was ordered to report to the Brickdam Police Station every Friday at 09:00 hrs and the case was transferred to the Providence Magistrate’s Court for Monday, April 14.
