Labourer granted bail for allegedly stealing

[www.inewsguyana.com] – A labourer of Sparendaam, East Coast Demerara was placed $60,000 bail for allegedly stealing a push cart and other items.

Before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, Wesley Ferdinand pleaded not guilty to the offence, which alleged that between March 13 and 18 at Georgetown, he stole from Virginia Bernard one hand cart, three coolers, and a quantity of no alcoholic beverages together valued $93,145. 

Police Prosecutor, Michael Grant did not object to bail and the case was put off to April 25.
