[www.inewsguyana.com] – Following the death of a husband and his wife today in Tain, Corentyne Berbice, the police are now treating it as a double murder and not a murder/suicide as was reported by the police earlier.
A police report noted that at about 05:10 hrs the bodies of Parbatie Vyraum, aged 34, and her reputed husband 56 – year – old Ramdat Persaud, were found in their home.
Post mortem examinations done by Pathologist Dr. Vivkanand Brijmohan have revealed that both persons died from hemorrhage and shock due to incised wounds. Ramdat Persaud had sustained an injury to his head.
Earlier, the police had reported that the woman was found lying on a bed with stab wounds to the body, while her husband was found on the floor.
A man who formerly shared a relationship with the woman has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
It seems as though there is more crimes than development under the PNC.
