[www.inewsguyana.com] –Three men were remanded to prison after they were charged with two counts of simple larceny each during their appearance at the Sparendaam Magistrate Court on Thursday, May 14.

They men were charged following investigations into looting which took place in ‘C’ Field, Sophia, during protest on Monday May 11.

Twenty-seven year-old Clive Baird, of ‘C’ Field, Sophia was slapped with two counts of simple larceny and placed on $30,000 bail. He was remanded until June 05.

Additionally, 16 – year-old Lawrence Harris and 19 – year-old Melroy Weekes were jointly charged with simple larceny. They were also placed on $30,000 bail, each, for court on June 08, 2015.

He appeared at the Sparendaam Magistrate Court and was remanded to prison until June 05, 2015.

  1. Why isn’t the president calling for a unified Guyana and telling the people to accept whatever decision is announced? They can challenge but it’s time to bring the country together!
