Third man remanded for Rice Farmer’s murder

unnamed8A1M8IBE[www.inewsguyana.com] – Paul James also known as “Crack” was on Monday remanded to prison after he stood appeared in the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court to answer to the capital offence of murder.

It is alleged that the 34 – year – old accused of Durban Street, Lodge, Georgetown on June 01, 2015 at UG Access Road, East Coast Demerara, he murdered Hardat Kissoon during or after the course of a robbery.

James was not allowed to plead to the indictable charge.

The Prosecution, who did not state much on the matter, told the court that files are still incomplete.

They asked for a further date for re-appearance.

James was remanded to prison.

He is schedule to make his next court appearance on October 26 at the Sparemdam Magistrate’s Court.

It is alleged was on June 01, Rice Farmer Hardat Kissoon was shot dead in a minibus at the junction of the University of Guyana Access Road, shortly after cashing the sum of $500,000 from a city bank.

According to reports, the alleged shooter after grabbing the cash from Kissoon, escaped on a waiting motorcycle at the side of the road.

So far, Paul James is the third person to be remanded for the murder of Hardat Kissoon, the other two also accused of murder of Kissoon are 32 year-old Sherwin Trotman and 30 year-old Kirk Clarke.
