Taxi Driver accused of stealing ‘brush cutter’, other tools

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Thirty – six – year old Taxi Driver, Kenrick Narine, appeared before City Magistrate, Fabayo Azore, charged with the offense of simple larceny.

It is alleged that the father of four of Lot 84 Best Road, West Coast Demerara, on October 17, 2015 at Albertown, Georgetown, stole one brush cutter valued $180,000, and a quantity of tools valued $15,000; the property of Bruce Seymour.

He pleaded not guilty to the offence and according to his lawyer, on the day in question, Narine was hired by the complainant, who claimed he placed a brush cutter and other tools in the trunk of Narine’s car.

However, the lawyer noted that his client is not aware that the complainant placed any items in his car.

As such, bail was granted in the sum of $65,000 and he is scheduled to make his next court appearance on January 07.
