enmore-hope-primary-school[www.inewsguyana.com] – A bomb scare at the Enmore /Hope Primary & Nursery Schools on the East Coast of Demerara this morning has forced students and teachers to flee to safety.

According to residents of Enmore, the school received a telephone call about 10:15hrs and was told by the caller that a bomb was in the building.

The teachers managed to get the students out of the school safely and parents were notified.

A fire tender and fire fighters searched the building and found nothing; however, they are awaiting the arrival of bomb experts on the scene to ensure the building is safe for the children to dwell. However, most parents have called it a day for their children.

Residents believe the call was aimed at instilling fear and it has created an uneasy tension for the community. [Tracey Khan – Drakes]
