[www.inewsguyana.com] – A 33 – year – old woman of Stewartville Public Road, West Coast Demerara was fatally struck down by a motor car on Tuesday evening, April 14
Vanessa Forde was immediately rushed to the Leonora Cottage Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
According to a police media release, at approximately 18:30 hrs, the driver of the motor car was proceeding along the public road when he allegedly swerved to avoid a pedal cyclist who had ridden across the road, and in so doing struck down the woman.
The driver fled the scene of the accident, but was later arrested. He is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
