Pork Knocker remanded for stabbing brother to death

[www.inewsguyana.com]A 38-year-old pork knocker of Falls Top who is accused murdering his brother was today (Wednesday, December 18) remanded to prison by Magistrate Ann McLennan.

Neville France was not required to plead to the capital offence which alleged that on Thursday, December 12 at Falls Top, in the North West District, he murder his brother, Richard France.

Police Prosecutor, Dinero Jones told the court that the accused and the deceased resided in the same house with their father. On the day in question, the duo was imbibing at a neighbour’s, when an argument ensued between the two.

The Court heard that Richard returned home and was sitting on a bench outside, when he was confronted by his brother and another argument erupted.

According to the Prosecutor, when Richard attempted to walk away, his brother stabbed him to his upper left side back. Richard then collapsed and died. Neville was remanded to prison and will re – appear in Court on Thursday, December 19 before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry.
