[www.inewsguyana.com] – An accident at Little Diamond, East Bank Demerara last evening (Tuesday, January 06) has left one woman dead and other passengers seriously injured.
iNews understands that the route 42 minibus was heading to Georgetown from Timehri when the driver lost control and slammed into a utility pole. The identity of the dead woman is not yet known.
Reports indicate that the driver appeared to have been speeding when he crashed. He too received serious injuries. Following the accident, some of the passengers were pinned inside the vehicle and had to be rescued by passersby. [Fareeza Haniff]
