[www.inewsguyana.com] – A mother of one of Lot 40 Princess Street, Werk-En-Rust, Georgetown was on Thursday April 09 placed on $40,000 bail by Magistrate Judy Latchman on an abusive language charge.

Rehanna Ali, 35, pleaded not guilty to the charge which stated that on Friday, April 03 at Lot 40 Princess Street, she made use of abusive language to Collette McAlmont.

Ali’s Attorney requested that her client be placed on her own recognizance, since she does not pose a flight risk.

The prosecution did not oppose bail for the unemployed woman and the matter was transferred before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, for April 15.
