Miners charged with wounding following argument over Donkey

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Three miners charged with unlawful wounding were placed on $25,000 bail each by Magistrate Ann McLennan.

Thirty – nine – year old Brian Joseph, 20 – year – old Orrel Stoll and 41 – year – old Ramnauth Samaroo, all of Best Plantation, West Coast Demerara pleaded not guilty to the offence.

It is alleged that on November 01 in the Cuyuni –Mazaruni, they unlawfully and maliciously wounded Raymond Hope.

The three men were represented by Attorney – at – Law, Mark Conway, who informed the Court that his clients do not have any prior matters.

He said the incident resulted from an argument over a Donkey. Police Prosecutor Dinero Jones did not object to bail and the matter was transferred to Kamarang Magistrate’s Court for December 15.
