Mechanic remanded on Firearm, Ammo charge

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Thirty – year – old Leon Ramroop, a mechanic of Eccles, East Bank Demerara was remanded to prison today (October 13) for the unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.

The father two pleaded not guilty to the charge, which alleged that on October 10 at Eccles, he had his possession one 9 mm pistol with four matching live rounds of ammunition when he was not a licensed holder.

He was represented by Attorney – at – Law, Paul Fung – A – Fat who requested bail after telling the Court that his client resides in the United States.

Police Prosecutor, Michael Grant informed the Court that the Police matched the defendant’s fingerprints at a break and enter scene and that more charges against Ramroop are likely.

Bail was refused and the matter was transferred before Magistrate Ann McLennan for October 31.

  1. u guys ent getting it as yet..with a name such as ramroop u cant be the holder of guns . either pnc police will come get it or pnc army will come get it..pnc police and army was sent in to buxton to recover all those guns and other deady weapons but none was found…its all saints that resides in buxton linden agricola ants grove plaisance ..the saints there are very depressed
