Man flashes butt at Reporters – following Larceny charge

[] – One of three men, charged with the offence of Simple Larceny exposed his butt to Court Reporters yesterday [Thursday, August 21] at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.

Fifty – one – year old Albert DeFreitas [man who exposed his butt] of Leopold Street, Georgetown, 65 – year – old Burtie Gouliver of Goedverwagting, East Coast Demerara and 53 – year – old Phillip Khan all pleaded not guilty to the charge.

It is alleged that on August 18 at Georgetown, they stole cash $55,000 from Farah Arjune. Police Prosecutor Adduni Innis revealed to the Court that on the day in question the virtual complainant (VC) parked her vehicle in the vicinity of Thomas land, leaving her purse, which contained the money in her car.

The Court heard that the VC’s friend, who was parked in the opposite direction, saw when DeFreitas broke the car window and stole the money, before escaping in a waiting car.

They were each placed on $75,000 bail. They were also ordered to report to the Police every Friday at 09:00hrs and will return to Court on October 10 before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry.
