Man charged for damaging Food Vendor’s Pepper Sauce

pepper-sauce[www.inewsguyana.com] – Forty – three – year old Carlos Henry of Grove, East Bank Demerara, today pleaded guilty to the offence of damage to property before Magistrate Ann McLennan.

The Court heard that on December 11, Henry, a vendor at Stabroek Bazaar, unlawfully and maliciously damaged one bottle of Pepper Sauce valued $1,000, property of Pamela Welcome.

Police Prosecutor, Dinero Jones told the Court that on the day in question, Henry was at Welcome’s stall and requested two boxes of food, which he and a friend ate.

The Court heard that Henry refused to pay the full cost of the food and damaged the bottle of Pepper after Welcome insisted that he pay her in full.

He was ordered by the Magistrate to repay Welcome for the item with a default of two weeks imprisonment.
