High Court Judge donates “crime scene investigation” books to police

unnamed[www.inewsguyana.com] – Supreme Court Judge, Justice Navindra Singh donated over a dozen books focusing on crime scene investigations and the presentation of evidence in court to the Guyana Police Force on Friday.

The recently published books were received by the Commissioner of Police Mr. Seelall Persaud,  in the presence of Senior Officers of the Force’s Performance Group in the Commissioner’s Conference Room, Police Headquarters, Eve Leary.

In brief remarks Justice Navindra Singh commended the work of the Guyana Police Force and said that he was pleased to do his part in support of the Police Force in carrying out its mandate.

This he said was in recognition, during his time on the bench, of the need for capacity building in the Force in relation to resources for the improvement of investigative skills and ability.

Head Criminal Investigation Department, Senior Superintendent Wendell Blanhum, expressed gratitude to Justice Navindra Singh on behalf of the Guyana Police for his continuous assistance to the Force and indicated that the books will also be used as reference literature.

Justice Navindra Singh has been playing a significant role in support of the Force with the training of ranks of the Criminal Investigation Department and those prosecuting in the courts.

  1. I hope so Blackhorse hower there is a bunch of dunces in this force. Heading this pack is the Minister himself RUM JHAAT followed by the incompetent Seelall.
