Father of 10 charged with armed robbery

[www.inewsguyana.com] – A father of 10 was remanded to prison by Magistrate Ann McLennan on Tuesday, September 22 for the offense of robbery under arms.

Thirty – one – year – old Anthony Rodrigues, [no address given] pleaded not guilty to the charge, which alleged that on September 11, 2015 at Hadfield Street, Georgetown, he robbed Roshana Daniels of one Digicel cellular phone valued $18,000.

Police Prosecutor, Simone Payne did not reveal the details of the robbery to the court; however she opposed bail on the grounds of the seriousness of the offense.

Bail was refused and the matter was adjourned to October 06, 2015.
