[www.inewsguyana.com] – iNews has confirmed that Constable Devin Singh made a report about someone pulling a knife on him in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court compound on Tuesday afternoon (June 03).

Singh, who is charged with assaulting Colwyn Harding, told his colleagues in his report that the knife was pulled on him after he was placed on $200,000 bail for the offences [assault occasioning actual bodily harm and common assault].

iNews was also informed that the accused cop described to the police that the person who pulled the knife was a reporter. He said the reporter was wearing a cream shirt and black pants and was holding a camera.

Investigators were also told that Singh cannot identify the reporter since the person had a camera in his face at the time of pulling the alleged knife on him.

According to reliable information reaching iNews, the police officer in his statement noted that the reporter said to him, “You coolie sk*$t you think that you could f*$k black man and get off”.

Sources close to the investigation suggest that the claims could be the advice of someone in an effort to influence a decision aimed at preventing reporters and camera persons from being allowed to cover the remaining court appearances of Singh and his co – accused, Roslyn Tilbury.
