“Cocaine in vagina” Surinamese refused bail

[www.inewsguyana.com] – A 22-year-old Surinamese national who was nabbed with a cocaine-filled condom in her vagina was remanded to prison on Friday, May 22.

Lamariot Chesney pleaded not guilty when she appeared before Magistrate Fabayo Azore. She reportedly also ingested some of the cocaine. In all, the cocaine weighed 556 grammes.

Chesney was caught at the Ogle International Airport, East Coast Demerara as she attempted to leave the country for Barbados. She was selected for a routine search when the condom was discovered with the cocaine concealed in her vagina.

She was taken to the hospital and where it was revealed she had also ingested some of the cocaine in pellets. When she underwent an X-Ray, 42 pellets of cocaine were discovered. Chesney was remanded to prison until next Monday when she will face the court again.
