[www.inewsguyana.com] – Thirty – year – old, Ann’s Grove, East Coast Demerara resident Orin Jerrick, accused of stabbing a Bus Driver to death has turned himself over to police.
A police source confirmed with iNews that the man walked into the Brickdam Police Station just after 15:00 hours yesterday (Saturday, August 2), with a female Attorney who has only been identified as De Santos.
The man’s relatives had promised to turn him over to police, after a manhunt was launched for him soon after the Thursday, July 31 incident. He is currently being held at the Brickdam Police Station and is expected to make a Court appearance tomorrow.
According to police reports, about 17:45 hours on Thursday Gavin Fiffee of Beterverwagting, East Coast Demerara was involved in an argument with a man at the Plaisance Bus Park, Regent Street, Georgetown during which he was stabbed to his chest.
Fiffee succumbed to his injuries while receiving medical treatment at the Georgetown Public hospital.
Fiffee had reportedly objected to the man urinating on his bus when an argument ensued which later escalated to a brawl. He was stabbed to his upper right chest.
