‘Bow Foot’ charged with murder of Businessman

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Collin Blair also called ‘Bow Foot’ was today remanded to prison by Magistrate Judy Latchman on a murder charge.

The accused was not required to plead to the capital offence, which alleged that on Tuesday, June 18 at Far Backdam, Cuyuni River, he murdered Royston Sylvester Greenidge during the course of a robbery.

Police Prosecutor Michael Grant did not disclosed the Prosecution’s fact to the Court and the case will call again on September 10 before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry.

iNews understands that the deceased is a Dredge Owner and on the day in question, he was on his way home, when the accused attacked him with a piece of wood.

It is alleged that Blair hit Greenidge several times to his head with the wood and he succumbed to the. At the time the deceased had in his possession a bag containing gold.  

The accused was on the run, since alleged crime has been committed and was only apprehended on August 30 last at Eteringbang Backdam.

According to reports, the accused alleged that he was attacked by a group of men with guns and cutlasses and he tried to defend himself with a piece of wood.
