[www.inewsguyana.com] – Guyana’s most recognized Squash player Nicolette Fernandes fell in the world ranking after an updated version was released on Monday, September 1 by the World International Squash Players Association (WISPA).
During the past five months Fernandes was rated at 19 but fell three spaces to 22 when the latest version of the ranking was released.
In August, Fernandes was unable to exit the first round of the Cathay Pacific Sun Hung Kai Financial Hong Kong Open 2014 which caused the fall in the ranking.
However, the 31 – year – old racquet wielder will have a chance to climb back into the top 20 in coming months as she is slated to play a number of tournaments before the conclusion of her 2014 team.
