19-Y-0 charged with murder

[www.inewsguyana.om] – A 19-year-old man was remanded to prison by Magistrate Ann McLennan on Wednesday, September 02 for the offense of murder.

Christopher Stanley was not required to plead to the indictable offense, which alleged that on August 29 at Rosemary Lane, South Cummingsburg Georgetown, he murdered Owen Brown.

The prosecution did not reveal the details to the court and the unrepresented man is scheduled to make his next court appearance before Magistrate Judy Latchman on September 15.

iNews understands that the Stanley and Brown were involved in an argument, during which Brown was stabbed to death.
