  1. We as parents need to understand our children,is very sad to see so many both old and very young taking this road, hope for the best, lets all pray for Guyana and its people.

  2. Parents need to understand that children at that age are going through a lot of physical and physiological changes; that adolescent stage when the body of both male and female, produces hormones which can cause mood swings, aggressive behaviour, defiance and other forms of irrational behaviour. They can become withdrawn. It can happen at different stages of puberty and earlier for some as each person is different from the other. Not ALL children will display the same behavioural patterns. Once parents understand these changes and why children behave or respond in certain ways, then they would be in a better and informed position as to how they communicate with their children. Let us hope that this lad makes a full and speedy recovery.
