Wanted Bulletin issued for Popeye’s gunman who escaped from GPHC

[www.inewsguyana.com] – The police have issued a wanted bulletin for 23 – year – old Nicholas James, who escaped from lawful custody at the Georgetown Public Hospital shortly after being shot by a policeman on Sunday, January 25.

James was at the time attempting to rob the Popeye’s Restaurant on Vlissengen Road when he came face to face with the police officer.

He was under police guard at the GPHC when he escaped on Tuesday, January 27 and no explanation has been provided by the Force as to how he managed to flee the compound.

Anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of Nicholas James is asked to contact the police on telephone numbers 225-6411, 225-8196, 226-9941, 226-7065, 911 or the nearest police station.

All information will be treated with strict confidence.

  1. Most of the time they are granted freedom, the police set them free. Shame on the ranks posted on duty, this is nothing new.
