[www.inewsguyana.com] – A 55 – year – old vendor of Golden Fleece, Essequibo Coast has been admitted to the Suddie Hospital after his minibus collided with a vehicle driven by a CID officer on the Taymouth Manor public road on the Essequibo Coast on Friday, September 04, 2015.

iNews understands that Madhoo Persaud was returning to his Golden Fleece home after selling vegetables at the Anna Regina market when the accident occurred.

According to several residents in the area, the loud impact of the collision caused them to rush out of their homes; they reported that several detectives were in the vehicle which collided with the bus.

The vendor, who sustained serious injuries to his foot, was taken out of his vehicle by public spirited citizens and rushed to the Suddie Hospital, where he is expected to undergo surgery. Police investigations are in progress.
