London, a mason by profession, was reportedly shot once by the gunmen, as they attempted to snatch his gold chain and cellular phone. However, when investigators arrived on the scene, those items were recovered.
Eyewitnesses told iNews that persons in the area refused to take him to the hospital after he was shot, since they were left in a state of confusion and could not comprehend what transpired.
London’s body was left on the road for approximately three hours, as police carried out their investigations. As the rain poured, his body was covered with a white bag and cardboard boxes.
His sister, Nicola London, said he left home this morning in high spirits.
“Ne ain’t know exactly what happen, I just come and hear he get shoot and they want he chain and he phone…..but he thing ain’t gone,” the distraught woman told iNews.

Family members also revealed that London was threatened by a former employer who reportedly owed him money for work he had done. According to London’s family, the matter was reported to the Diamond Police Station, after the man threatened to shoot him.
iNews was reliably informed that after London was shot; the gunmen fled the scene and headed into a “bushy area” towards Craig.
