[www.inewsguyana.com] – The kidnappers of businessman, Rajendra Singh are demanding that the family hand over the security tapes, mounted around his business place in Foulis, East Coast Demerara.

A close associate of the family told iNews (www.inewsguyana.com) that the businessman made contact with his wife, through the kidnappers, who are now demanding a $25M ransom. They had initially demanded $50M.

The 40 – year – old businessman of Enmore, East Coast Demerara was kidnapped on Saturday evening (April 05).

Contrary to a police report, the wife of the businessman is the person who was able to locate the man’s vehicle and reported same to the police at the Sparendaam Police Station.

In recalling the details of the ordeal on Saturday night, the family associate said that the two gunmen arrived at business place where the man operates a spare parts business.

They entered the place pretending to be customers and held Singh and his wife at gunpoint. iNews (www.inewsguyana.com) understands that the gunmen physically assaulted the couple and demanded the keys to the businessman’s vehicle.

The men then lead Singh to his car, dumped him in the trunk and drove away. The source related that the man’s wife then followed the men in another vehicle but lost them, however she was able to locate the vehicle on the railway embankment, abandoned.
