Two charged for stealing GT&T cables

[www.inewsguyana.com]Two men charged with stealing cables were each placed on $30,000 by Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry. Mohamed Hamid, a 20-year-old mason of Cummings Lodge, East Coast Demerara and Marvin Daniels, 33 both pleaded not guilty to the offence.

It is alleged that on Sunday, February 9 at Kingston, Georgetown, they stole a length of cable valued $20,500, property of Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company (GT&T).

Police Prosecutor, Michael Grant had no objection to bail. Attorney- at – Law, Paul Fung – A -Fat represented the duo and requested that they be admitted to the SKY programme. However, Daniels is over the required age for the programme and the case was put off to February 17 for report.
