Jarrel Ward. [iNews’ Photo][www.inewsguyana.com] – Three men were today committed to stand trial at the next Demerara Assizes for the murder of a 23-year-old Electrical Engineer of Delhi Street, Prashad Nagar.
Following a Preliminary Inquiry (PI), Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry informed Glenroy Griffith, 21; Jarrell Ward, 26 and 36 – year – old Julian Mack that a Prima Facie case was established and there is enough evidence for them to stand trial at the High Court.
Julian Mack. [iNews’ Photo]Particulars of the indictable charge state that on October 19, 2014 at Lot 33 Delhi Street, Prashad Nagar, Georgetown, they murdered Abdool Saleem Aziz, after robbing him of an undisclosed sum of cash.
Glenroy Griffith. [iNews’ Photo]Aziz, a former employee of Beharry Group of Companies, was shot and robbed by gunmen as he was about to enter his premises. He was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) where he subsequently died.
A total of 24 witnesses inclusive of police officers were called on behalf of the State to testify in the matter. The PI was prosecuted by Police Corporal Bharat Mangru.
I don’t know why these people are even going to court. They should be shot or hung or even electrocuted or maybe even given a lethal injection. Why spend taxpayers money to feed these animals every day with three square meals? Kill them all in prison who murdered anyone. Kill them man they are a waste to society.
Look at them. They don’t want to work. They just want to rob and kill people all the days of their miserable lives. Send them to prison and pray next year they are not on the list of 60 prisoners to be set free.
