Teen remanded to prison for robbery

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Eighteen – year – old Lorenzo Forde of Charlestown, Georgetown was today remanded to prison by Magistrate Judy Latchman on two counts of robbery.

DSC06090He pleaded not guilty to the charges, which alleged that on December 26, 2013 at High Street, Kingston, being in company of another, armed with a broken piece of bottle, he robbed Marvin Benjamin of one Toyota Fielder Wagon valued $2M, along with one cellular phone and $10,000 cash valued $18,000.

The second charge stated that on December 30, 2013 he robbed Elijah Adams of one Toyota 212 Carina valued $1.5M, and during that offence, he made use of personal violence against the victim.

Police Prosecutor, Vishnu Hunt objected to bail citing the seriousness of the offence and said the defendant was identified during an Identification (ID) parade a month ago.

The teen was represented by Attorney – at – Law, Paul Fung-A-Fat. The case will call again onFebruary 17.
