Suspect arrested in connection with Berbice robberies


[]As the police continue investigations into armed robberies on the Upper Corentyne Berbice, one suspect has been arrested, while another managed to escape.

According to the Police, on Friday February 7, the suspect was arrested on No. 65 village and is expected to appear at the Whim Magistrate’s Court on four charges of robbery under arms tomorrow, Monday February 10.

Meanwhile, about 20: 30h on Saturday night (February 8), the police went to a house at No. 65 Village, Corentyne, in search of another suspect. The man managed to escape but left behind a 16 gauge shotgun with one cartridge which was recovered by the police.
