[] – Police Commissioner (ag), Seelall Persaud has all intentions to fill the  vacancies which exist at the level of the commanders and senior officers who are tasked with running various departments in the Force.

The Commissioner was at the time attending the farewell parade of Assistant Commissioner of Police George Alexander Vyphuis whose last day on the job is today, Wednesday April 2.

Seelall was asked about the re- posting and reshuffling of ranks to head the various divisions, to which he revealed that the move will be executed in the coming week.

At present, several divisions are being manned by Senior Superintendents of police while others have as their commanders Assistant Commissioners of Police.

They continue to hold critical offices with the force but it remains unclear if any of them will be heading back to head police divisions or deputize.
