[www.inewsguyana.com] – Princess Hotel and Casino Guyana has finally broken its silence on the allegations of sexual assault level by a former 18 – year – old employee (Waitress) against its proprietor.

The Hotel in a statement says while it notes with great alarm the recent media reports regarding the alleged incident that occurred on January 11, 2014 it categorically deny all allegations contained therein as well as the utterances of the said complainant.

The entity says it also plans to institute legal proceedings to recover damages suffered to its reputation as a result of ‘these unfounded allegations’ made against its principal, managers and by extension the entire Hotel.

On Monday, the teen expressed the belief that the judicial system has failed her as she went public telling the tale of her January 11 ordeal.

She claimed that while serving the visiting overseas based Principal in the Casino on the night in question, he touched her on her breast and attempted to kiss her to which she responded repulsively.

She said she was later taken to the man’s room where she was told by a male manager to do whatever the man asks her to. She further stated that she immediately left the room where the owner was lying on the bed covered with a sheet to go the washroom where she related what transpired to her supervisor and later went home.

According to the hotel, at all times it has fully cooperated with ranks of the Guyana Police Force and has made available for interrogation all the employees, including managers, who were on duty on the said day as well as provided video footage from closed circuit cameras installed on its property.

The statement from the hotel added that the investigating ranks never made any request to interview the principal.

The statement went onto further state:

I.            The Hotel and its principals hold inviolate the laws of Guyana and conduct all of its activities within the confines thereof.

ii.         The Hotel practices according to international human resources guidelines and treats its employees with the highest of regard and dignity.

iii.       At no time whatsoever or howsoever has Princess Hotel offered the virtual complainant any reward or other consideration to induce her to withdraw the allegations made against its principal nor has anyone been so authorized on its behalf.

iv.       Princess Hotel has a strict policy on sexual harassment of its employees and has never received any reports of this nature from any employee.

6.        Princess Hotel views with great seriousness the public threats made by the father of the virtual complainant to do harm to principals, employees and its property and intends to lodge a formal complaint with the Guyana Police Force.
