Police seeking Bel Air man in road rage shooting

[www.inewsguyana.com] – An accident between a truck and a motorcar in the wee hours of Thursday, March 26 took a turn for the worse when a labourer ended up being shot by an angry passenger.

iNews was informed that sometime after midnight, a car and truck collided along a road in Resource area, Canal No. 2, West Bank Demerara.

According to reports, following the collision there was an argument between the drivers of the car and the truck during which time, one of the passengers from the car who was identified as Annand Singh of 94 Bel Air, Georgetown whipped out a firearm and fired a shot.

The bullet struck the labourer, who was rushed to the West Demerara Regional Hospital. The police have since detained the taxi driver and have launched a hunt for Singh, who after the shooting boarded another vehicle and fled the scene.
