Police grants GPSU permission to conduct mass protest against 5% wage hike

[www.inewsguyana.com]The Guyana Police Force has granted permission to the Guyana Public Service Union (GPSU) to conduct a series of protests across the country, against government’s five percent wage hike.

The protest will commence on Friday (December 20) at 11:00hrs  from Shiv Chanderpaul Drive, Bourda.

The march will proceed East along Regent Street, South along Vlissengen Road, West along Brickdam, North into Avenue of the Republic (western half), continuing into Main Street, East into Lamaha Street, South along Main Street, East into Church Street, South into New Garden Street, into Shiv Chanderpaul Drive to conclude at the Guyana Public Service Union.
