Police destroy 10,000 marijuana plants; two arrested

[www.inewsguyana.com] – On Saturday (September 13), ranks of the police narcotics branch conducted a drug eradication operation at Kairuni, Soesdyke/Linden Highway.

A field of about two acres in size was found with approximately 10,000 cannabis sativa (marijuana) plants, about one foot in height, under cultivation along with a nursery with seedlings and an abandoned camp.

They were all destroyed.

Two men have been arrested and are in police custody assisting with the investigations.
