[www.inewsguyana.com] – Two kilos of cocaine and a quantity of marijuana along with four thousand United States dollars and two hundred thousand Guyana were discovered by the police when they swoop down on homes on the Essequibo Coast and Corentyne, Berbice on Saturday.
The operation which was conducted by ranks from Georgetown who traveled to the assisted by ranks from ‘G’ Division saw five persons were arrested including women who is described to be the mastermind behind the drug operation.
Those detained are currently being held at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Georgetown and are assisting the police with their investigations.
iNews was informed by police sources that the police executed the operation after monitoring the operations of the woman and a man over a period of time. Police learnt that the woman traffics cocaine and other illegal substance in Berbice.
