Pensioner, two sons busted with illegal guns

[www.inewsguyana.com] – A mechanic and his two sons were arrested on Wednesday, February 18 by ranks from the Criminal Investigation Department for the illegal possession of weapons.

iNews was reliably informed by police sources that the mechanic has been identified as 66 – year – old Oswald Dass. He and his two sons – 21 – year – old Oswald Dass Junior and 23 – year – old Ivan Dass – reside at Kuru Kururu, Linden Soesdyke Highway.

iNews understands that CID ranks received information that the men are in the business of trafficking weapons and as such they were placed under surveillance for approximately one week now.

On Wednesday, the police decided to move in on the men and carried out a search of their home and in the yard by digging certain spots in the yard; however they found a 12 gauge shotgun and three cartridges along with a 9 MM pistol inside the house.
