Pensioner beaten, robbed of Motorcycle by Bicycle bandits


robbery[] – The police are investigating the robbery and assault of a McDoom, East Bank Demerara Pensioner, who was beaten and robbed of his CG Motorcycle on Monday afternoon (October 13) at approximately 13:30 hrs in front of his residence.

During an interview with iNews this morning, 60 – year – old Parmanand Jaggernauth said the bandits pounced on him as he attempted to open the gate of his lot 17 public road McDoom property.

He said the two men robbed him of his motorcycle CG 2503. He said they hit him until he felt “dizzy.” He received injuries to his face and head and according to Jaggernauth, one of the bandits encouraged his accomplice to shoot him.

Following the robbery, the men left their bicycle behind and made off with the motorcycle in the direction of Georgetown. (Leroy Smith)
