Forde was initially charged with the offence a few months ago. However, the charge was withdrawn and he was charged jointly with Edinboro.
The indictable charge was read by Magistrate Fabayo Azore and the duo was not required to plead to the capital offence, which alleged that between December 27 and 28, 2014 at Cane View Avenue, South Ruimveldt, Georgetown, they murdered Rabindranauth Jeebo.
Police Prosecutor, Steven Telford told the Court that Edinboro has another pending murder matter at Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court. The 21-year-old unemployed man resides at Parfaite Harmony, West Bank Demerara.
Telford said the pending murder case at Sparendaam is alleged to be committed prior to murder of the Pegasus taxi driver. The Court heard that Edinboro’s fingerprints were positively tested. Telford said there are seven witnesses in the matter and the Prosecution is ready to commence the Preliminary Inquiry (PI).
On February 3, Police Prosecutor Michael Grant said Jeeboo left home for work on December 27. The next morning, his body was found in a garbage pile at Cane View Avenue, South Ruimveldt.
