One dead, another in critical condition in Berbice smash up

 

[www.inewsguyana.com] – A West Bank Demerara man is now dead while another seriously injured after being involved in a two vehicular accident on the D Edwards Public Road West Coast Berbice on Wednesday night (April 09).

Thirty – year – old Anand Donald Ambedkar of Pouderoyen, West Bank Demerara was pronounce dead on arrival at the Fort Wellington Hospital, while the other passenger, Sukhdeo Sahadeo of Bath, WCB was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital. Ambedkar is the son of the REO of Region Five.

 

iNews (www.inewsguyana.com) understands that at about 23:00 hours on Wednesday night, Ambedkar, who was driving motor car PRR 6417 was heading in the eastern direction at an allegedly fast pace, lost control of the vehicle and slammed into a truck which was parked on the D Edwards Public Road.

A Police source said that he could not determine if the now dead driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. This will be revealed after a post mortem examination.
