[www.inewsguyana.com] – Murder accused, 48 – year – old Robert Sandy died today (Wednesday May 28), at the New Amsterdam Prison.
Sandy was charged with murder after stabbing to death his 19 – year – old baby mother Onika Greaves on May 19. He appeared in Court yesterday, where he was remanded to prison until June 09.
Sandywas suspected of having consumed a poisonous substance following the incident and had been admitted to the New Amsterdam Hospital under guard until Monday May 26 when he was discharged.
The dead 19 – year – old woman is reported to had broken off the relationship she shared with the 48 – year – old and left the community.
She had recently returned when Sandy launched an attack on her while in her yard at Angoy’s Avenue.
