Minibus conductor allegedly caught with cocaine remanded to Prison

Frank (1)[www.inewsguyana.com] – Euchald Frank, a minibus – conductor of Victoria Village, East Coast Demerara, was remanded prison by Magistrate Fabayo Azore on drug trafficking charge.

The 26 – year – old pleaded not guilty to the offence, which alleged that on Monday, May 26 at Hadfield Street, Georgetown, he had in his possession 2.5 grammes of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Deneshwer Mahindranaught, prosecuting, did not relate any facts to the Court, however, he objected to bail on the grounds that no special was given to the Court for Frank to be placed on a pretrial liberty.

Frank was represented by Attorney – at – law, Paul Fung – A – Fat. The lawyer alleged that the suspected cocaine was found in a yard next door and his client is being charged for the offence.

However, bail was refused and the case was put off to June 12.
